Johnny Rioux embodies the spirit of traditional barbering through and through. a New Hampshire native, old man Rioux spent the majority of his life touring the world playing and working with various punk/rock n roll bands. it wasn't until the past couple of years that he felt called to pursue another passion of his, one that would keep him at home more. Since then he's grown into a precision based, talented barber with a focus on classic cuts and low pomps/side parts. This man truly respects the tradition.
A native to Houston, Paulie paid his barbering dues in shops along the west coast while earning his barber license at the the real barbers college in Anaheim. A man devoted to the traditions of barbering, Paulie has been able to develop a unique style combining the California clipper over comb steez with the old school Houstontaper/bald fade with guard style.
Bones AKA juan dirt AKA Pasadenas finest AKA Emanuel is icy without the ego. He's that blurry fade barber without all the gimmicks, bells and whistles. He's a true friend, mentor, brother to us all and is the embodiment of a ridiculously talented, humble barber. Got his start cutting in various shops in the south east, he's that soft spoken dude that speaks thru his work.
A military brat from the eastside of San Antonio, Trevor(aka Shave) is the definition of ambition! Trevor started getting skin in the game in Washington state before moving back to San Antonio to finish barber school and cut at Alamo City barbers. A true artist, Trevor prides himself on his clean straight razor shaves and traditional mens cuts.
With over 15 years in the professional barbering game, Ana Rico grew up in the craft. Her Mother and brothers all cut hair, and she developed a passion for the trade at an early age. Proficient in ALL cuts, especially tapers and pompadours, Ana Rico is a force to be reckoned with. She represents our core family over everything value wholeheartedly and is constantly growing and learning. She is a much needed calm in our dude storm.
Hailng from parts unknown(otherwise known as Spring Branch), Alfredo has committed the better part of his adult life to growing in his craft and spending time with his wife and kids. He cut his teeth in branch garages in grade school perfecting taper fades and edge ups on neighborhood kids and class mates. In between garage cuts and school, he played drums in numerous bands in the Spring Branch/Houston area. Like many of us at East End Barber, Fredo received his education at Modern Barber College under the tutelage of Don Sutton. Proficient in all barber services, Alfredos favorites are traditional trims, under cuts, and crew cuts. A linchpin in the EEB family, respect his time and everybody happy, k?
An East End native, Mike is the spirit of the shop. The youngest in age and experience, he's by far the most hungry and creative. Like Johnny, Mike started off as front desk and apprenticed at East End Barber while completing his 1500 hours at Modern Barber College. Mike started at a young age, cleaning up his father and brothers while obsessively watching youtube tutorials and practicing on friends. The shy guy at the shop, Mikes constantly learning more about barbering in his spare time and striving to perfect his craft. His favorites are bald fades, low tapers, classic side parts and tapered beards.
